• Signed a major Italian telecommunications contract with Omnitel (later Vodafone Italy) in 1999 (National Portrait Gallery of Australia)

For a reader asking “What does Megan Gale do now?” the answer is nuanced: she is still professionally represented and active, but her public profile has shifted from runway and screen to brand representation, television hosting and family life. She has not announced a major acting role since Mad Max: Fury Road, but her longevity in Australian public life — now spanning nearly three decades — is itself a credential.

The trade-off for Gale has been clear: she chose family and a diversified career over the relentless visibility of full-time Hollywood. For Australian audiences who grew up with her on magazine covers and David Jones campaigns, that feels less like a disappearance and more like a natural next chapter.

Gale’s arc from 18-year-old competition winner to 50-year-old mother, wife and brand ambassador reflects a career managed with unusual intention.
