Storm Reid in 2026: Age, Parents, Euphoria Exit & Zendaya

Google “Storm Reid” and you’ll land on the same question: is she Zendaya’s sister? She isn’t — she’s the actor who played Rue’s younger sister Gia in Euphoria, and in 2026 she is 22, finishing a degree at USC, and releasing her debut single “Clean Sweep.”

Born: July 1, 2003 ·
Age (May 2026): 22 ·
Breakout role: Meg Murry in A Wrinkle in Time ·
Known TV role: Gia Bennett in Euphoria ·
2026 single: Clean Sweep ·
TikTok followers: 2.3M

Ten data points, one pattern: the public record is still built on Euphoria, while the 2026 story is about music, university, and a career she’s building on her own terms.

Who is Storm Reid to Zendaya?

Short answer: she is not Zendaya’s sister. Storm Reid played Gia Bennett, Rue’s younger sister, on Euphoria — a role W Magazine‘s Season 3 coverage confirmed — and the on-screen relationship was close enough to feel real. The confusion is understandable, but it stops at the screen.

Are Zendaya and Storm Reid sisters?

• No. They are not related in real life.
• They played sisters on Euphoria: Zendaya as Rue, Storm Reid as Gia.
• Their connection is professional, not familial.

Who is Zendaya’s 51 year old sister?

• Zendaya has an older sister, Katianna Stoermer Coleman.
• She is a separate person from Storm Reid.
• The “51-year-old sister” search phrase points to Katianna, not to Reid.

Why do fans pair Storm Reid with Zendaya?

• The Euphoria sibling dynamic is the main reason.
• Both are young actresses in high-profile HBO projects, which fuels search mix-ups.
• Google autocomplete and social media repeat the pattern.

The implication: the “Zendaya’s sister” label is a search artifact, not a biography. Storm Reid’s actual connection to Zendaya is a role she played — and one she has already moved past.

Why did Storm Reid quit Euphoria?

Careful with the word “quit.” Marie Claire UK reports HBO executive Casey Bloys confirmed a spring 2026 return in December 2025, and Sky‘s Season 3 guide is blunt: Reid is not back. Neither HBO nor Reid has issued a detailed statement saying she permanently left the show.

Was Storm Reid in Euphoria Season 3?

• She appeared in Seasons 1 and 2 as Gia Bennett.
• Sky‘s Season 3 guide confirms she does not return.

What did Storm Reid say about leaving Euphoria?

That statement, plus reporting from USC Annenberg Media and RUSSH, points to scheduling conflicts around her USC degree and her production work. HBO has not commented on the reason.

• USC Annenberg Media attributes the absence to scheduling conflicts.
• RUSSH reports the same conflicts prevented alignment with production.
• No official statement from HBO explains the departure.

The catch: “quit” implies a clean exit, but the available reporting describes a logistical puzzle — a young actor balancing a degree, a production company, and a TV schedule that no longer fit.

What this means: her absence from Season 3 is effectively a career choice aligning with her education and musical ambitions.

Who are Storm Reid’s parents?

The basics of Storm Reid’s bio are stable across public profiles: she was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and her parents are Robyn and Rodney Reid. She is African-American, and her own TikTok bio describes her as an “actress from da dirty south.”

How old is Storm Reid?

• Born July 1, 2003.
• As of May 2026, she is 22.

What is Storm Reid’s ethnicity?

• African-American.
• Her social bios lean into her Southern roots.

Is Storm Reid in a relationship?

• No publicly confirmed partner as of this writing.
• She keeps her personal life off social media.

Why this matters: the facts are simple, but search behavior keeps pulling her into Zendaya-related narratives. Knowing the actual bio makes the rumor easier to spot.

What movies and TV shows is Storm Reid in?

Her filmography goes back further than Euphoria. Reid started as a child actress, landed a Disney-backed lead role, and then moved into prestige TV.

What was Storm Reid’s breakout role?

• A Cross to Bear (2012) — her first credited role.
• 12 Years a Slave (2013) — early film credit.
• A Wrinkle in Time (2018) — her breakout lead as Meg Murry.
• Missing (2023) — lead thriller role.

Who did Storm Reid play in The Last of Us?

• Riley in HBO’s The Last of Us Season 1.
• The role paired her with Bella Ramsey’s Ellie in the “Left Behind” storyline.

What is Storm Reid doing in 2026?

• Releasing her debut single “Clean Sweep.”
• Completing her degree at USC and building her production company, per RUSSH.

The pattern: every phase of her career has been a deliberate step — from child actor to Disney lead to HBO drama to music. Euphoria was never the whole story.

What was Zendaya diagnosed with?

Some of the most-searched Storm Reid questions are actually about Zendaya. The pattern is consistent: people mix up the two actresses, then search for health and personal details about Zendaya as if they were related.

Was Zendaya born as a boy?

• No. This is a false rumor with no basis in public records.

Has Zendaya ever had a baby?

• No. There is no public record or statement suggesting Zendaya has a child.

Zendaya has spoken publicly about having ADHD; that is the diagnosis attached to her name in interviews. None of the other rumors change Storm Reid’s actual connection to Zendaya, which is a TV role, not a family tree.

The trade-off: rumors travel faster than corrections, but they don’t rewrite either actress’s biography.

What’s the age gap between Zendaya and Tom Holland?

Zendaya and Tom Holland have been a couple for years, and their age gap is one of the most searched details. It’s also one of the simplest: Tom Holland was born June 1, 1996; Zendaya was born September 1, 1996. He is roughly three months older.

How many boyfriends did Zendaya have before Tom Holland?

• Zendaya has never published a complete relationship history, so the number is unknown.

Has Tom Holland got a baby?

• No. The couple does not have a child.

Who’s richer, Tom or Zendaya?

• Net worth comparisons are estimates from entertainment outlets, not confirmed figures.

What this means: these questions keep surfacing beside Storm Reid because all three actors share the same search gravity. The age-gap answer is simple; the rest is gossip, not biography.

The Express Tribune

The takeaway: the loudest statements about Storm Reid’s Euphoria exit come from production guides and cast lists, not from a personal farewell announcement.

Storm Reid’s next chapter is already underway — a debut single, a USC degree, a production company. For fans who found her through Euphoria, the question is whether they’ll follow her beyond Rue’s world. For anyone still searching “Storm Reid Zendaya sister,” the answer is simple: she was never Zendaya’s sister, just one of the most memorable siblings on TV. For the audience, the choice is clear: keep up with the music and the university years — or keep replaying a rumor that was already answered on screen.
